Worked well on a snapped grade 8 bolt.

I took a shot at these hoping for the best. When arrived, it said made in China, so I was worried. I had a 7/16-inch grade 8 bolt holding an electric PTO clutch on the engine crankshaft of a John Deere X540 riding mower. The bolt broke off about 1/8-inch up inside the crankshaft. I used the 7/64-inch bit first and it drilled well. I peck drilled, going a little at a time, drilling slowly to not create much heat and went in about 1/2 of an inch. Then I used the 1/4-inch drill bit, setting up for the bolt extractor. Just as the 1/4-inch drill bit caught a good bite, it walked the remaining bolt, 3/4 inch long, right out of the crankshaft. Glad to say these worked well and even on a grade 8 bolt. They do have 5% cobalt steel in them. Thank you for a product that actually works.
