Bought a 1993 cobra and some genius along the line of previous owners stripped the front drain oil pan sump that had very little room to work. This tool just barely fit in the space I had but I was able to chase out what was left of the threads. Hoping it does the trick, new drain plug and gaskets at the ready. If it fails I will have to pull the engine to replace the huge 7 quart pan. This tool so far saved my bacon!

I bought this item to chase the threads in the airlift bracket mount holes in the wheel hubs of a military humvee. I had used a regular thread tap on some of the holes, but thought it was too aggressive and it wouldn't fully clear the threads to the bottom of each hole. This item was much easier to use than the tap and worked well to clear out the threads all the way to the bottom. The new bolts I installed were a bit tight due to the item purposefully having slightly smaller dimensions than the actual thread standard, but they went in and it worked well.

Good product to have

I Build and Fix a lot of AR-15 & AR-10 Rifles/Pistol, and with the Grip screw is one of the Screws is mostly a blind screw by the means of you put the grip on and put the screw in blind. 98% of the time the threads are good and have no problems. But I have come across a few im my times building these and almost Cross-Threaded the screw. So after watching one of my YouTube channels and learned on this Beautiful little tool I bought one.! Now in every build I chase/clean the Pistol Grip screw threads All the time. I learn something new everyday. This tool is a must for every gunsmith tool box. I highly recommend this little gem to anyone
