I’ve been using this brand for years and have always been impressed by their excellent quality. The sizes are super easy to read which is nice as you get older! Lol!They were packed super tight so it made it difficult to remove the tools. The fact that these don’t come with any type of case or protective coverings, they will get easily damaged if you don’t find a way to keep them protected. The die handle isn’t as good a quality as their other sets. It’s just not as solid, sturdy and tight as other sets of theirs that I own. When the handle is sturdier, it’s easier to keep the dye straight so you can make sure your threads come out correct. Considering it’s a less expensive/smaller set it’s a good value for what you are paying, you just get a better quality with the more expensive sets.These are all metric.The tap handle is better quality than the die handle. There is a set screw that holds the die securely in the handle. They are taper tap dies which makes it easier to make sure they are straight, but if you don’t have a lot of room, you need to take that into consideration as they don’t start cutting immediately.

I’ve been using this brand for years. I love the quality of their tools. The taps are very sharp and easy to tap straight. They stay sharp for a long period of time. Excellent storage case with metal latches, keeps everything neat and organized. I cut out the instructions showing the drillbit size for each tap and was able to store that in the case.The handle for the dyes worked well. Has a set screw that locks it in, good quality. The size of the tap and dies are easy to read. Excellent set, good value for all that you get, from an excellent company.

Great kit to have when working on small hardware. This is great for RC! Easily cleaned and removed burrs from threads. Feels very good. A small case would be a great improvement. Good value for the money and easy to use.

This is a nice, practical metric tap and die set for basic home mechanic and DIY projects. The pieces feel well made and cut clean threads for light to moderate use. I’ve used it for chasing and rethreading a few bolts, and everything fit accurately.The storage case is sturdy and keeps the set organized, which I appreciate for garage storage. All the tools stay in place and the case feels durable enough to toss in a toolbox without worrying about parts getting loose.It's more expensive than some similar sets out there. The build quality and organization make it a solid option if you want something reliable for occasional repairs and small projects.

Overall: Effective cutting tools for small metric thread jobs.Pros:Cutting surfaces are sharp, hard steel that cuts clean. Just go slow and use cutting oil. Stop and reoil is it's squeaking.Clearly labeled on one side for the size and on the other side to show which direction to cut for the dies. The taps are labeled for size.Both included handles feel strong and smooth, compared to other sets I've used.Cons:Doesn't come with a storage box of any sort, though this listing doesn't claim it does so I won't mark it down for that. Cutting tools are very hard and brittle, so you really don't want them rolling around loose in a drawer. I Just made a holding box on a 3d printer for mine.

This is a nice metric set. I fly RC Airplanes and I hate to spend money on a fully threaded rod for a control surface just because I can't cut a solid rod and thread the end my self. Well, no longer is that the case. I used 2 of the dies and they worked very well. Easy to cut, threads were nice and my metal clips screwed on and fit nicely. I like the multi size cutter and the taps work very well and make for good threading. If you work with smaller stuff, this is really worth having in you tool cabinet. Pretty good price too.
